Deathdealer

Residant Artist in Nocturne Atelier
Based in Birmingham, UK

Darkwork and Bio-Organic Specialist
3 years experience in tattooing

Jed is a British tattoo artist who specialises in darkwork and bio-organic art.

Fascinated by dark Gothic art, and medieval etching style artwork as a child, and a desire to always progress has naturally led to an avant-garde approach to give life to his unique style of dark art. The bold and sharp, combined with illustrative bio-organic, creating masterful artwork that flows and expresses beauty in an unconventional aesthetic.

Drawing inspiration from anatomical forms, and the raw beauty of the natural and fictional world, Jed’s work speaks to a deep, raw aesthetic, where chaos and order coexist. His attention to texture and flow elevates each composition, ensuring that every design complements the body’s movement and form.

For Jed, tattooing is not just art, it's expression, metamorphosis, and storytelling etched in skin. His work challenges the norms of conventional beauty, inviting the viewer into a shadowy world where art thrives in the obscure.

How Deathdealer works

Before making an appointment with deathdealer, you can see information about how he works.

Design Progress

If you like any of Deathdealer’s flash work or previous pieces, he can create a new, unique design in a similar style while incorporating your input into the tattoo.

Deathdealer doesn't start any design until the booking has been confirmed. Customers are welcome to visit the studio on the day of the appointment to view the design. As a lot of his work is anatomy dependant, this will usually involve a lot of freehand on the day. A designs will be sent to the client closer to the appointment day if required. This means slight ideas can be incorporated and some placements can be changed on the day without much hassle.

The day of the tattoo includes a consultation for design modification, and can accommodate some alterations on the day.

Working Style

The best results come when an artist is given creative freedom. Deathdealer primarily works with an open mind, happy to work with you, but his personal artistic vision and knowledge should guides the process.

Sometimes, people feel the need to provide extensive guidance, control every detail, or are uncertain about what they want. If someone prefers to prepare multiple random designs until they are satisfied or feels the need to review and modify the design excessively before the appointment to feel at ease, it may be best to seek another talented artist.

If a client repeatedly requests exceptions to aspects that have already been clearly explained prior to the appointment, Deathdealer may choose to discontinue the project. Please note, the deposit is non-refundable.

However, there's no need to worry. After reviewing Deathdealer’s portfolio and deciding to book an appointment, you can rest assured that the outcome will be remarkable, thanks to his artistic talent.

Design Modifications

There should have been enough prior conversations with customers to fully understand their ideas and pinpoint the desired outcome.

To minimize the likelihood and extent of design modifications, please be as clear and concise as possible when explaining your vision for the tattoo during the appointment request. Additionally, providing clear reference images for inspiration will help ensure we’re on the same page.

To respect Deathdealer’s creative process, please refrain from requesting excessive modifications once creative freedom has been granted.

If a customer requests too many design changes during the session, the tattoo session may be canceled, and the deposit will be non-refundable.
